Features Overview

CNS is ready for you to use right out of the box. It comes pre-loaded with common chiropractic diagnosis codes, reflexes, orthopedic tests, muscles, joints, listings, etc, etc. In fact all lists are pre-loaded with common entries. You can, however, customize virtually every screen to fit your specific needs including designating preferred items or pre-defined scenarios to call up at any time to completely fill out your screens. The screens are built for speed of entry whether your mouse or keyboard driven.

The heart of the program is the random text generation for your soap notes. CNS uses a unique methodology to generate complex sentence structures that make it impossible to tell that your chiropractic soap notes were computer generated. No line by line simple sentences like other soap note software. We are also proud of the ease of use and simple learning curve that was built into the software. CNS was designed to provide the perfect balance between simplicity and functionality.

Note Generation

The Note screen allows you to generate your S.O.A.P note by a click of a button. CNS takes the information you gathered on the other screens and uses a unique methodology to generate complex sentence structures that make it impossible to tell that your notes were computer generated. No line by line simple sentences like other text generation programs. Convienent spell checking, thesaurus, and common phrases options are also available on this screen.

Spinal, Joint, Muscle Examination

This screen will be used frequently by most chiropractors. It documents many different aspects of your evaluation of the patients spine including listings, segmental range of motion, tenderness, spasm, edema, as well as extremity findings. In spite of this vast amount of data, the screen is very easy and quick to use.

X-Rays

Imagine not having to leave the treatment room to view your patient's x-rays. CNS lets you store and view patient x-ray images right on your computer screen.

Subjective Complaints

The subjective screen is used to document the chief complaint as well as other presenting complaints. This screen has been designed to allow complete documentation of any problem. You will find the screen very simple to use and completely customizable to fit your needs. You can also select a pre-defined subjective scenario to load such as "neck and arm". This feature will quickly set various parameters to your saved scenario.

Range of Motion

The ROM screen allows you to fully document the range of motion of any joint. Select a joint on the body, and you will see the standard ranges available for that joint. The screen keeps track of right and left for you. You have the option of documenting ranges by actual degrees or by description of restricted motion.

Orthopedics, Muscle, Reflex Tests

The Orthopedic, Muscle, and Reflex test screen are all set up in a similar style. You are able to choose from a list of available tests and specifiy your findings. You have many ways to narrow your list of tests including marking your preferred tests and only showing them, or highlighting an area on the human figure to narrow your list to that region of the body. From these screens you can easily insert additional tests. These screens are very, very fast as you will see.

Dermatomes

The dermatome screen allows you to document findings that relate to a specific nerve root innervation. Click a nerve root on the picture and specify the findings through customizable drop-down boxes. Right and left is tracked for you.

Diagnosis / Assessment

The assessment screen was very carefully designed to allow efficient selection of diagnosis codes from a list of many choices. You can easily narrow your list of codes by only showing your preferred codes or by clicking one of the images showing codes by region. In addition to your diagnosis codes, you can easily document other aspects of your assessment of the patient including prognosis, type of care, progress, % improvement, and treatment problems. This screen also has a "get prior" and "pre-defined" feature that allow one-button completion of the entire screen.

Plan / Treatment

The plan and treatment screens allow you in seconds to set up visit schedules, as well as long and short term treatment goals. Also you can document modalities used or advised either in office or at home. The treatment screen makes very quick work of your adjusting procedures to the spine and, like the rest of CNS, is fully customizable.

Spell Checking and Thesaurus

CNS has built in spell checking on all rich text entry fields. This can be set up to automatically correct commonly mispelled words as you type!!! A thesaurus is also available. Both of these features come with an english dictionary and a medical dictionary.

Archive Feature

With CNS you can archive your older notes to remove them from your active database however you can still get to those notes very quickly and easily if necessry. All from within CNS.

Security Features

Enable the built-in logon option to control who can access the system and track who creates and randomizes notes.

Document communications

Within CNS you can document any emails, phone conversations, or correspondance and report on them anytime.

Custom Reports

Within CNS you can design your own reports or modify our existing reports to conform to your taste.

Custom Forms Generation

CNS allows you to design your own forms and include patient variables within the forms. CNS will replace the patient variables with the patient information allowing you to print a completed form with only a couple mouse clicks!! CNS comes with some completed forms but you can easily add your own or modify the existing ones.

Common Phrases

CNS allows you to save common note phrases you may use. You can then drag and drop these common phrases right into your completed note or use "quick keys" to generate the common phrases.

Master Note

You can design the format of your notes including headers, footers, fonts, colors, etc. CNS will insert the randomly generated text into your note design.
